Prelim Task: Research and Planning Tasks to Complete

Research and planning tasks to complete by next week:

1. Set up your blog and email your blog address - my email is cottrelll@hlcollege.ac.uk.
This is the address that you see when your on the homepage of your blog.

My blog address is:
http://asmedialudlowcollege2014-2015.blogspot.com

2. Write your first blog post – Introduction to Preliminary Task and Action Plan for Preliminary Task
In your post briefly introduce what you have to do for the task and outline what you are going to be doing each week. The work flow on the first page of this h-out can help you complete the plan.

3. Post your work on the generic conventions of student magazines. This is the work that we did on A3 paper during the lesson. You now need to figure out how you are going to get the A3 piece of paper on to your blogs!

4. Complete your textual analysis of a student magazine, that you started during the lesson, and post it on your blogs. If in doubt refer to the handout I gave you during the lesson which includes a good -ish.

You need to bring a colour print out of this to our double lesson next week (either Tues Pool C or Thurs Pool D)

5. Target audience research

6. Initial ideas post

7. Experimentation with fonts and colours

8. Mock-ups

All of theses tasks need to be complete by:

AS Media Pool C: Tuesday 23 September
AS Media Pool D: Thursday 25 September

If in doubt, refer to the handout I gave you during the lesson on Tuesday and Thursday, it's got all of the information you need to complete the tasks.

You can also access the handout on 'Your Space':
